On June 27, 2019, a technology day on the topic of “intelligent storage systems” took place in Nuremberg, at JUKI’s European headquarters.
The 25 guests from all over Germany (existing customers and interested parties) were presented and explained in detailed the most diverse possible applications of the ISM storage system in SMD production. In particular, the material incoming station and the possibility of integrating an existing warehouse were the focus. Many of the lectures had practical parts, so that the participants could try out and understand the functions of the products.
JUKI also had four guest contributions on adjacent topics. For example, Mr. Both from Cogiscan reported on the possibilities of connection and data exchange in production. This presentation met with great interest, as the integration of the various production systems with the warehouse management and the ERP/MES systems used is an increasingly important part of the production infrastructure.
Mr. Kronshage, Sales Manager of Optical Control GmbH, presented the CCX.3 component X-ray counter, a non-contact, very effective X-ray component counter.
Highlights of the event were two testimonials about projects with existing customers, who objectively reported on their experiences with the installation and the daily work with the on-site ISM storage systems.
The event was a complete success for all participants. We would like to thank the participants for the lively discussions during and after the presentations. Special thanks go to our guest speakers, who contributed greatly to the success of the event.
